I don’t have to be a mind reader to know that many of you are already thinking about making a New Year’s Resolution.

For most of us, a worthwhile resolution usually involves our health.

My own personal resolution is to give you some of the best reasons in the world to exercise and follow a healthier lifestyle.

Exercise is essential to our health, particularly for women.

The Poll asked…The Swine Flu vaccination. Will you get it?

Preliminary results of my friends and followers poll.

75% said they will definitely not get the vaccine when it becomes available.

25% said, “Maybe.”

Headache or Liver transplant. What is your preference? Tylenol and the FDA.

What’s wrong with Tylenol? Take too much and you could end up with a liver transplant, if  your “plan” will pay for it.

The FDA has issued Tylenol aka acetaminophen a black penalty box warning.  That means take this warning seriously.

How can such a commonly taken, over the counter medication be just now labeled as unsafe? It has been known for years now that  taking 4 grams daily without alcohol can cause a rise in liver transaminases. To arrive at the ideal anesthetic, we need to understand more
about how anesthesia works and how people consent to have anesthesia.
Some types of surgical procedures can and should be accomplished using a
technique called conscious sedation, with monitored anesthesia care. Some
awareness is intended and expected during conscious sedation, so patients
need to be educated and consent to undergo that type of surgery and
anesthesia if indicated. In my experience, many people do not understand
the difference between conscious sedation and general anesthesia when it is
explained before surgery, nor do they remember the discussion after surgery.
